Often referred to as the "five-minute face lift," the NuFace device has become a cult favourite thanks to online reviews applauding its speedy results.

It uses a low-level microcurrent to energise facial muscles, (first used for people with paralysed facial muscles) boosting the production of elastin and collagen, which gives the face a "lifted" appearance.
But how does it actually work...
What is a micro current?
A microcurrent is a low-level current that mimics the body’s natural current and works on a sub-sensory level, hence the treatment is soothing and most people feel nothing at all.
Microcurrents have been around since the 1980s and were originally used on patients with Bell’s Palsy, a type of facial paralysis. The discovery of microcurrents as therapy treatment – retraining and stimulating patient’s muscles – led to the the FDA approving it as a muscle stimulator and eventually as an anti-aging tool for the beauty industry.
