You can now sell your clothes on By Rotation

Everyone’s favourite social fashion rental app has launched a feature which enables you to sell clothes (and not just borrow)

Peer to peer clothing rental platform By Rotation has launched its ‘resale’ feature.

As of today the company, which boasts close to 200,000 users, is launching a feature on the app which allows you to sell clothes and not only rent them out to other users of the App. This is a move that the company hopes will take the app to the next level of becoming the platform for consuming fashion sustainably.

2021 was a momentous year for fashion rental, as the concept became widely accepted and championed by mainstream consumers. By Rotation are taking this one step further by expanding their offerings to selling, which came after popular demand for buying clothes from the app’s users. The company’s aim is “to encourage a much wider audience to shop more sustainably.” 

"After receiving significant feedback from our Rotators to offer the option to sell an item (and selling 2 items myself directly on the app!), we are rewarding all our verified lenders with the ability to sell their pieces that are also available to rent.” explained By Rotation’s founder Eshita Kabra-Davies, “This is in line with our mission to transform fashion consumption for good. Our Rotators have also become very strategic and mindful when it comes to adding new pieces to their wardrobe thanks to our incredibly insightful analytics, and this will continue to aid in those decisions."

At first only verified lenders will have the options to sell their wares, and so far it has not been confirmed when this will roll out to all users.
