The 10 most Instagrammable restaurants in London for dinner

Sketch: Gallery, Mayfair

Sketch serves Michelin-starred food in absolutely breathtaking surroundings. It might be known for its bubblegum pink, eternalised on Instagram feeds worldwide, but it is gone and replaced by a solar yellow colour scheme that marks a new chapter for the trendsetting restaurant and gallery. With good reason, photographers, influencers, and celebrities have been heading to The Gallery for their Instagram updates.

La Goccia, Covent Garden

With summer in full flourish, there is nothing more delightful than dining al fresco with a table of divine sharing plates, full of seasonal delicacies and delicious Italian flavours. Head to La Goccia, a place of calm, in tune with nature and positive living. If you can get a table outside in the summer, go.

Sure, the sprawling outdoor terrace at La Goccia gets all the attention, but have you ever had a peek at the inside of the bar? From the paint-splattered armchairs to leopard-print stools, it’s a ‘grammers dream.

Sessions Arts Club, Farringdon

A £15 million renovation of the Old Sessions House – a discreet, gorgeous 18th-century Grade II listed landmark – is partly to thank for Clerkenwell’s recently elevated foodie reputation. Seduction is part of the game at Sessions Arts Club, and it continues once you’re at your table. The verdict for this place is unanimously favourable in a courthouse that once had a reputation for issuing harsh sentences. The whole area is fantastic.

Native at Browns, Mayfair

If it’s good enough for the fashion set, it’s good enough for us. Foraging can be an over-hyped word. For Imogen Davis and Ivan Tisdall-Downes, however, it forms part of an inventive approach to cooking based on zero waste. In the unlikely surroundings of the Browns fashion store in a Mayfair townhouse. Native at Browns, a gorgeous hidden space, you’ll find mosaic floors, a beautifully tiled bar and woven seating, all equating to a magnificent picture for your feed.

Circolo Popolare, Fitzrovia

The Big Mamma Group fully understood the assignment when it came to designing a restaurant that would be spread all over Instagram. Opened in Fitzrovia in 2019, it became an instant hit – queues for a table started to hit the two-hour mark, even in the middle of the week. Double-height walls are covered top to bottom in liquor bottles of every feasible variety, six deep and covering the entire restaurant. It takes a minute to assimilate to the bombastic madness of it all.

Gold, Notting Hill

Decorated with a giant moody mural, Gold's trendy facade is almost as Instagrammable as its plush, earthy interiors. The Notting Hill restaurant's sexily lit bar, plant-flecked garden room, all exposed brick floors, sweet lanterns hanging off the greenery and Wimbledon-esque retractable roof form all the ingredients that have made it one of west London's must go-to spots.

14 Hills, the city

Sat on the 14th floor of a Fenchurch street skyscraper, 14 Hills could be described as a forest in the sky thanks to the vast amount of foliage in all corners of the restaurant. Composed of the most aesthetic interiors, a lively late-night bar, an al fresco terrace, and unparalleled views over London, it is a pretty Instagram hot spot.

Bancone, Golden Square

Who doesn’t love pasta? Bancone means bar or counter and the interior has three: by the window, around the chef’s station and next to the signature olive tree where you can sit, eat and enjoy the buzz of the stylish young Soho crowd. Bancone has an exciting list of small plates/starters but the main event is the pasta. Instagram will also enjoy the restaurant's dishes.

Dalloway Terrace, Soho

Dalloway Terrace is most famous for photos because its feature wall changes seasonally. The wall is beautiful and the restaurant’s defining feature, but I also want to stress that the food here is fantastic.

Sushisamba, Covent Garden

Sushisamba has a sky-high Liverpool Street restaurant on the 38th and 39th floors of the Heron Tower that’s been a raging success since opening its doors in 2012. Still, they opened a second London spot in the heart of Covent Garden in November 2018, and we might dare to say that’s it’s the prettier spot?

The restaurant, which sits within the famous Opera Terrace, runs along the entire east side of the market, meaning guests can enjoy stunning views and pictures across the piazza.
