Apple TV+ has created a WeWork drama series
‘WeCrashed’ will star Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto…
Apple TV has just released the trailer for ‘WeCrashed’ - a miniseries which will tell the true story of the dramatic unravelling of WeWork, the coworking space with a billion dollar valuation which ended up in PR ruin.
The characters lend themselves well to be portrayed on the silver screen, with Jared Leto playing WeWork’s once upon a time CEO - Adam Neuman - who was known for his lavish lifestyle and spending habits. Anne Hathaway meanwhile steps in as Rebekah Neumann, who was WeWork’s chief brand and impact officer and formerly the CEO of WeGrow.
At the height of WeWork’s success the company secured an eye-watering $47 billion valuation before its infamous downfall, down to a $9 billion valuation when the company went public. Meanwhile the real life Adam Neuman was given a ‘golden parachute’ to leave the company while thousands of his employees were being laid off. When it comes to the world of tech entrepreneurs sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. The show will debut later this year, on March 18 2022.
